Otto van der Tang, Managing Director
Otto joined Sofon in 2006 as its Managing Director, with a focus on executing Sofon’s international growth plan. Otto has over 15 years experience in growing successful software businesses. Prior to Sofon Otto held Director, VP and Managing Director roles at Oracle, 2Cure, Hiscom, DIV (now Getronics Care Services) and Baan Company (now Infor). Otto holds a masters degree in business economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Paul Kimmel, Director Development
Paul founded Sofon in 1998. At present, Paul leads Sofon’s software development team as well as the project management team, building on over 20 years software engineering experience. Prior to Sofon Paul held software development and development management roles at BSO (now AtosOrigin), Data Sciences and IBM. During this period Paul was responsible for some of Europe’s most sophisticated sales configuration development projects at companies such as Philips and Stork. Paul holds a masters degree in computer science from Eindhoven University.
Henk Speksnijder, Director Sales
Henk joined Sofon in 2002. Henk leads the Sofon organization in the Benelux. He has overall responsibility for New Business Sales, Installed Base Sales and Consulting Services. Henk has been a successful sales leader in the software industry for over 20 years. Prior to Sofon Henk held Account Management and Sales Director positions at local and international level at Hiscom, Sopheon and Baan Company (now Infor).
Marijn Schouten, Director Business Development
Marijn joined Sofon in 2004. Marijn is responsible for global marketing and partner relationships, which includes expansion into countries where Sofon does not have a direct presence. Prior to Sofon, Marijn spent over 15 successful years in ERP software marketing and sales, including Director roles at local and international level at Baan Company (now Infor). Marijn holds a bachelors degree in business economics.

Bert de Vries, Manager Sales Benelux
Bert works at Sofon since 2002. Bert is responsible for New Business Sales in the Benelux. Previously, Bert was Sales Executive at Sofon. Prior to Sofon, Bert was active in sales and (sales) management positions at Data Sciences, IBM, Ordina and Sioux. Bert studied Computer Science at the University of Twente.
Elmar Erben, Director Sales Germany, Sofon Deutschland GmbH
Elmar joined Sofon in June 2009. Prior to Sofon, Elmar held the position of Industry Development Manager at SAP Deutschland AG & Co.KG. His focus was on Consulting Sales for the industries Consumer Products and Trade. Prior to SAP, he was Senior Pre Sales Manager at Seeburger AG. Seeburger AG is one of the market leaders in B2B Integration. Elmar was responsible for Pre Sales in the domain Invoice Management, Order Management and Workflow Process Management.
Malcolm Ware, Director Sales UK, Sofon UK Ltd.
Malcolm joined Sofon in 2011. Malcolm has a track record of establishing successful direct sales operations for various technology companies in the UK, such as Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics, Novell and Manugistics. Prior to joining Sofon Malcolm co-founded and successfully grew Software Leads, a leading telemarketing organization focused on the UK software sector.
Dan Hopkins, Director Sales USA, Sofon (US), Inc
Dan Hopkins joined Sofon in August 2007. Dan is responsible for sales, business development and operations for North and South America. Prior to Sofon, Dan spent over 10 years in enterprise software sales positions -- notably ERP and CRM systems -- and has helped design complete outsourcing initiatives for large and mid-sized organizations. Dan has a diverse technical background which includes software implementation, systems configuration, project management, solution architecture and programming. In addition to his business experience, Dan has previously served as a technology consultant for two United States Presidential Campaigns and a number of Congressional candidates. Dan received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Arizona State University.
