Once a quote is approved by a customer, complete orders are automatically sent to SAP. If desired, the characteristics from Sofon can be used in the SAP Variant Configurator.

To ensure that the implementation of Sofon runs quickly and smoothly, the experience gathered from the many previous implementations has been bundled together in Sofon Ready to Go: a predefined project approach that is used to map out the entire implementation in just a single day, including the project scope, project objectives, project organization, employees involved and project schedule. Thanks to Sofon Ready to Go, the actual introduction of the software can get under way following a short, one-day preparation period.
The fact that users are able to model the Sofon system themselves means that there is only a minimal need to involve a Sofon consultant. Whereas with many configurators the supplier assumes an important role in setting up the software, Sofon consultants can confine themselves to the task of coaching users. This not only helps to reduce implementation costs, but also gives the user a high degree of independence. This is important as changes can be implemented quickly and easily without having to invest time and money in external advisors.
SAP Connector - Certified integration based on NetWeaver technology
The SAP Connector has been developed to enable integration between SAP ERP and Sofon. The Connector ensures that Sofon orders are incorporated automatically into SAP ERP. It makes use of SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI) technology. This technology is intended for integration between SAP and non-SAP applications. The SAP Connector has been officially certified by SAP.
Integration content
Sofon leverages relevant information from SAP, including SAP materials, customers and prices.
The integration ensures that each configured order from Sofon is recorded in SAP as a sales order together with corresponding bills of materials and routings. If required, configurable materials can also be filled with characteristics from Sofon.
